The M.Sc. Information Engineering Program
The end-to-end design of a cyber-physical business system to solve complex sociotechnical problems requires expertise from the fields of sensor technology, information systems and business models, which originate from different disciplines. Collaboration at the relevant interfaces is often difficult, as the disciplines have established their own specialist cultures and terminology. They also use different (software) tools and models to solve problems. The role of the information engineer addresses this problem.
The aim of the Master's degree program in Information Engineering is to prepare students for the role of the innovation-driven, research-enabled information engineer who can design cyber-physical business systems from sensors to IT systems and business models. The Master's degree builds on and deepens the skills acquired in the Bachelor's degree course in Information Engineering.
